Alpine® Fire & Smoke Doors

Our fire rated, rolling fire doors are service coiling steel, roll up doors that carry a fire rated UL, ULC, and/or a Factory Mutual Label when specifications are requested. Classified by Underwriter’s Laboratories, our roll up fire doors are fire rated to sustain protection for up to 4 hours. These roll up fire doors, Fire-Tite, are designed to have the same appearance as a standard overhead roll up service door, and can be operated manually or with one of Alpine’s motor operators. With our advanced technology roll up fire doors, the fusible links melt at 165° F triggering the roll up fire door to close automatically, in the event of a fire.

Our fire shutter products are also available in Fire-Tite and come with a number of optional Redi-Release devices. An Oversize Overhead Door Certificate can be provided for fire rated shutter products exceeding 162 square feet in area or 13’ 6”(W) x 12’ 0”(H) feet, not to be exceeded in either direction. The rolling fire shutter products include coiling fire rated door in Fire-Tite and can be constructed with galvanized steel and stainless steel 300 series. All fire rated shutters and fire rated doors are available in a number of different finishes or can be powder coated in customized colors. Our Fire-Tite roll up fire shutters are also listed with New York MEA for steel roll up doors. These roll up fire shutters have structural steel guides. Fire rating door shutters have an easily performed fire drop test.

Alpine’s Fire-Tite IMB V7 are insulated fire rated doors that have all the features and functions as the standard rolling shutter fire rated door but have additional insulated slats. The slats are insulated with flame and sound resistant mineral wool fiber. The fiber has Surface Burning Characteristics of Flame Spread = 0, and Smoke Developed = 0 (As per ASTM E 84). It is F.M. Approved and U.L., U.L.C, Classified for up to 4 hours of fire protection.

Alpine’s Auto-Fire-Tite has the same features as the insulated rolling fire shutter, Fire-Tite Door, with controlled automatic closing by one of Alpine’s Redi-Reset Motors (Models FS, NFS, FDC, or FDCL). The Auto Fire-Tite rolling fire shutters and roll up doors can be connected to smoke detectors and fire alarms as well as any building alarms. The Redi-Reset operators eliminate the complication of a manual reset of the door after drop testing or activation. The Overhead Rolling Auto-Fire Tite is also labeled for 4 hours of fire rating protection by UL, ULC, FM, and NYC MEA.

Alpine’s Auto-Fire-Tite IMB V7 fire rated metal doors have all the same features as the regular Auto Fire-Tite with the addition of IMB V7 slats for sound and thermal insulation. This roll up coiling steel Auto-Fire door is durable and easy to operate.

Alpine’s Fire-Shut fire counter shutter is fire rated and fire proof. Our rolling counter shutters are Classified by Underwriter’s Laboratories for up to a 4 hour fire rating of fire protection. It can be operated manually or with a motor, and is activated by the melting of a fusible link. The rolling fire counter shutter is ideal for small openings that require fire rated protection, such as cafeteria or kitchen windows. The fire rated counter shutters, Fire-Shut, come in galvanized or stainless steel with a variety of finishes.

Alpine’s-Auto Fire-Shut has the same features as the rolling fire counter shutters, Fire-Shut, with the addition of either a RediReset (Models FS, NFS, FDC, or FDCL) or Redi-Reset II operator. These steel doors are easily operated and maintain their durability.

Alpine’s Smoke Fire-Shut smoke rating shutters have all the features of the Overhead Steel shutters Fire-Shut with the addition of an “S” rating for smoke leakage. The Overhead Steel fire shutters, Smoke Fire-Shut utilizes a vinyl smoke seal on the bottom bar and brush seals on the guides and lintel to stop the movement of smoke through the Steel shutters door, preventing property damage and smoke risks.

Alpine’s Auto-Smoke Fire-Shut fire rated door has all the features of the Overhead Steel shutters, “Smoke Fire-Tite” with the addition Redi-Reset Operators, (Models FS, NFS, FDC, or FDCL). The “Auto-Smoke Fire-Shut” Rolling Steel Shutter Door, Prevents the movement of smoke through the steel fire rated shutters door, preventing property damage, smoke Risks, and allows for easy testing and resetting, without having to adjust spring tension to the Rolling Shutter door, Redi-Reset Operators are automatically tested and reset, by the touch of a button.

Alpine’s Fire-Storm is a combination of the features of Alpine’s Redi-Storm and Fire-Tite models. It is Dade County Approved for high windloads (up to 153 mph) as well as UL, FM, and MEA approved for fire protection. This fire rated coiling steel door comes in galvanized or stainless steel and in a variety of different finishes. Hurricane fire shutters door is strong in a storm.
