Fire Doors

Rolling Fire Doors, Rolling Fire Shutters, Coiling Fire Doors, Coiling Smoke Doors

Alpine’s fire door is a door with a fire-resistance rating (a fire protection rating) used as part of a passive fire protection system to reduce the spread of fire or smoke between compartments and to enable safe egress from a building or structure or ship.

Our fire doors are coiling steel roll up doors that carry a fire rated UL, ULC, and/or a Factory Mutual Label when specifications are requested. Classified by Underwriter’s Laboratories, our roll up fire doors are fire rated to sustain protection for up to 4 hours. These fire doors, Fire-Tite, are designed to have the same appearance as a standard overhead roll up service door, and can be operated manually or with one of Alpine’s fire door operators. With our advanced roll up doors, the fusible links melt at 165° F, which triggers the roll up fire door to close automatically in the event of a fire.

Our fire door products are also available in Fire-Tite fire doors and come with a number of optional Redi-Release devices. An Oversize Overhead Door Certificate can be provided for steel fire door products exceeding 162 square feet in area or 13’ 6”(W) x 12’ 0”(H) feet, not to be exceeded in either direction. The rolling fire doors include coiling fire doors in Fire-Tite and can be constructed with galvanized steel and stainless steel 300 series. All fire rated doors are available in a number of different finishes or can be powder coated in customized colors. Our Fire-Tite insulated roll up doorsare also listed with New York MEA for steel roll up doors. These doors have structural steel guides. Fire rated doors have an easily performed fire drop test.

Alpine’s Fire-Tite IMB V7 are insulated fire rated doors that have all the features and functions of the standard fire rated door but have additional insulated slats. The fire doors slats are insulated with flame and sound-resistant fiberglass. The fiber has Surface Burning Characteristics of Flame Spread = 0, and Smoke Developed = 0 (As per ASTM E 84). It is F.M. Approved and U.L., U.L.C, Classified for up to 4 hours of fire protection.

Alpine’s Auto-Fire-Tite has the same features as the rolling fire doors, Fire-Tite Door, with controlled automatic closing by one of Alpine’s Redi-Reset Motors (Models FS, NFS, FDC, or FDCL). The Auto Fire-Tite roll up doors can be connected to smoke detectors and fire alarms as well as any building alarms. The Redi-Reset operators eliminate the complication of a manual reset of the door after drop testing or activation. The Auto-Fire Tite steel fire door is also labeled for 4 hours of fire rated protection by UL, ULC, FM, and NYC MEA.

Alpine’s Auto-Fire-Tite IMB V7 coiling fire doors have all the same features as the regular Auto Fire-Tite with the addition of IMB V7 slats for sound and thermal insulation. Smoke-Proof Doors
 

Alpine’s Smoke Fire-Tite smoke rated and fire rated door has all the features of the coiling Fire-Tite with the addition of an “S” rating for smoke leakage. The Smoke Fire-Tite rolling fire doors utilize a vinyl smoke seal on the bottom bar, brush seals on the guides and lintel to stop the movement of smoke through the door. This prevents property damage and health risks. These coiling fire doors have an easily performed fire drop test. These coiling smoke doors can be manual operation or choose an operator that fits your needs.

Alpine’s Smoke Fire-Tite IMB smoke rated and fire rated metal doors have all the features of the overhead rolling doors, Fire-Tite Doors, with the addition of an “S” rating for smoke leakage. The steel fire door, Fire-Tite Door, utilizes a vinyl smoke seal on the bottom bar, brush seals on the guides and lintel to stop the movement of smoke through the overhead rolling fire doors. This prevents property damage and smoke risks.

Alpine’s Auto-Smoke Fire-Tite smoke rated door has all the features of the commercial Fire-Tite with the addition of an”S” rating for smoke leakage. The Smoke Fire-Tite coiling smoke doors utilize a vinyl smoke seal on the bottom bar, brush seals on the guides and lintel to stop the movement of smoke through the door. Alpine’s Auto-Smoke Fire-Tite IMB has all the features of the coiling smoke doors, Auto-Smoke Fire-Tite Flat Door, with the addition of insulated metal backed slats that are 7/8” inch thick slats with an R-Value: 5.0 (U-factor of 0.125) calculated using the ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals. This fire-coded steel fire door has structural steel guides and perimeter brush seals.

Windstorm Resistant Fire Doors

Alpine’s Fire-Storm is a combination of the features of Alpine’s Redi-Storm and Fire-Tite models. It is Dade County approved for high wind loads (up to 153 mph) as well as UL, FM, and MEA approved for fire protection. These coiling fire doors come in galvanized or stainless steel and in a variety of different finishes. The hurricane fire door is strong in a storm. Choose the operator for your needs.

Alpine’s Auto-Fire-Storm has the same features as the Fire-Storm with the addition of either a RediReset (Models FS, NFS, FDC, or FDCL) or Redi-Reset II operator.

Alpine’s Fire-Storm IMB V7 has the same features as the standard Fire-Storm, flat slat doors with the addition of IMB V7 slats for sound and thermal insulation. These rolling fire doors help keep out the cold and heat. The hurricane fire door is strong in a storm.
