High Performance Insulated Sound Reducing Service Door

Alpine’s IMB series of insulated roll up doors are rolling insulated doors with insulated metal backed slats that have either 5/8″ (IMB-V5), 7/8″ (IMB-V7) or XX  slats offering R-Values between 6.82-9.00 (U-factor of 0.147 to XXX) calculated using the ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals. The slats on the rolling overhead doors are insulated with polystyrene for increased thermal protection. The IMB-insulated rolling door profiles are also available with foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation. The insulated door profile is a flat slat with a metal back cover. The IMB series comes in a variety of materials and finishes to meet your needs for weather sealed doors.

Alpine’s Insul-Sound® commercial PVC and metal soundproof doors are sound rated doors that use a patented Insulated Sound Barrier PVC Back slats to provide a full noise reduction STC RATING of 30 and thermal protection. The coiling door curtain is made of slats with snap-on, weather resistant PVC with a filled-in core and a back cover to increase insulation for a R-value of 7.2 (U-factor of 0.139). All these industrial soundproof doors function as any normal service doors and come in a variety of materials and finishes. Each of our sound resistant doors will have noise reduction sound barrier materials combined with insulation R-values. The inside of these rolling doors provides a full vapor barrier for thermal protection. The front slat of the coiling door is available in 22, 20, and 18 gauge steel, or B.S. aluminum in a variety of finishes.
